Meet Dr. Arnel Cosey
A Passionate Leader.
Over the course of her distinguished career, Dr. Cosey has served in several administrative roles, most recently as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Executive Dean, for Louisiana’s largest community college.
In that capacity, Dr. Cosey led her senior leadership team in the development and implementation of several programs and services focused on providing access and supporting student success on the college’s campuses. Those efforts include, but are not limited to, participation in a national competitive research and design-build project to increase the number of single mother learners earning a credential or degree at community colleges, opening an on-campus clinic for behavioral and medical services through a partnership with the state’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center, and the implementation of a national anti-poverty program dedicated to connecting students to benefits and combating food insecurity
